Comments: Confidence intervals reflect the degree of uncertainty in a sampling method. They may be bounded on one or both sides, and are computed for a designated confidence level (most often 95% or 99%. Example: A Hazard Ratio of 0.47 might have a 95% confidence interval between 0.34 and 0.65, wiht a p-value of = 0.001.
